Here are some spa etiquette tips to help you make the most of your visit... before, during and after.
BEFORE
* If you must cancel an appointment, we require that you please give 24 hours notice to avoid being charged 50% of your service. Less than 24 hours notice or not showing will result in you being charged the full session fee.
* Arrive on time or early. If you are late, your treatment time will need to be shortened since the treatment room (and therapist) is generally booked after your session.
* Please be courteous to other guests by turning off your cell phone when you arrive.
* Try not to eat for at least an hour before treatment, and avoid the consumption of alcohol on the day of your scheduled services.
*Drinking water before your massage is highly recommended, as it will make it easier for the massage therapist to perform deep work by hydrating the muscles so that they are easier to manipulate.
DURING
* Understand that you are getting a therapeutic massage, which is not a sensual experience.
*Many people prefer to keep their panties or briefs on during a massage, while others prefer to be completely nude. It's up to you.
* Therapists are well trained in the "art of draping" which means that they leave the treatment room while you get under the sheet on the massage table. You will be covered at all times except for the area of the body that is being massaged. The therapist will leave the room at the end of your service so you are able to get up from the table and privately dress.
*If you are uncomfortable with anything during your treatment-the pressure, the music, the temperature, please let us know. We want you to get the most out of your session and to walk away relaxed and rejuvenated!
*You can talk during your treatment or stay quite, as you choose.
AFTER
*After your service, it is customary to vacate the room within five to ten minutes so the therapist has time to prepare for the next client. However, you are free to spend additional time unwinding in our serene relaxation area.
*Drink plenty of water after your therapeutic session as it will help the body flush out any accumulated materials in the muscles which were released during the massage; otherwise, they might build up, causing muscle aches and soreness after a massage.
*Massage is a service that you will get more benefit from if you do it regularly. Make sure to book your next session before leaving.
